Renovation Work

Our ethos is renew, reuse, recycle. During the renovation period we held our environmental footprint close to our hearts and did our best to minimise our impact to the earth, even our render is eco-friendly! With sustainability in mind, we sometimes had to get creative with our upcycling and we can’t wait to see what unique pieces you spot in our cottage! So, we would offer encouragement to all our guests to think of our environment when you use the heating, electrics and hot water in the cottage. Our priority is your comfort but turning off the heating, electrics and lights when you go out for the day makes a big difference to our world.

The cottage has benefitted from lots of upgrades throughout the renovation. For instance, a full rewire, new kitchen, and bathroom. We’ve also added new flooring, removed all the crazy wallpaper, plastered, rendered, paved, installed internal doors, added a log burner, plus much more. Through our grit and determination, we have crafted the perfect cottage for a luxurious stay in North East England.

To the upper floor, the cottage boasts a quirky king-sized bedroom decorated to high standard with deep red skirting boards, colour matched to Kim’s own DrMarten’s! There is a wall mounted Smart TV with Netflix, usb charger ports, preloved dressing table and chair, preloved wardrobe, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and luxury bedding.

Opposite, is a twin bedroom with a wood panelled wall. The bedroom offers twin single beds with luxury bedding, a wall mounted TV with Netflix, and a preloved dressing table and chair.

Finally, the bathroom boasts a dual rainfall shower, complimentary toiletries, towels, dressing gowns, vanity unit and our favourite feature, a beach-find shelf.
